Welcome to the Nova Scotia Community Health Board (CHB) website. Here you will find information about who we are, what we do and how you can become involved. CHBs are a network of more than 400 volunteers who are making a difference in their community. There are 37 CHBs across the Province of Nova Scotia.

CHBs serve a vital role in the well-being of their communities, helping to support many community-based projects and partnerships. This includes providing grants to community-based groups to support projects focused on health promotion and the social determinants of health. CHBs also help to identify health priorities and provide recommendations to Nova Scotia Health Authority and the IWK.
